For my project with Het Pennywafelhuis and Vleeshal, curated by Adriënne van der Werf and inspired by my trip to Al-Andalus - both historical and real - I was facilitating a series of workshops. The ceramic workshops were held at Het Pennywafelhuis - a community centre in Middelburg focusing on people with refugee backgrounds. Together with their visitors, we worked towards producing a tiled wall that later was installed in their kitchen. Here, you can see the process and the result.
